Retirement Properties Spotlight in Balerno

Balerno : Balerno is about eight miles southwest of Edinburgh and for much of the middle ages was a small farming community expanding in the 18th century with paper mills around the water of Leith. Today the town has a farmers market on saturdays in Balerno Main Street. Mulleny House nearby is a National Trust property famous for its 400 year old yew trees and old-fashioned roses with a beautiful walled garden.
