Worsley is an attractive town through which passes the Bridgewater Canal begun in the eighteenth century and originally used to take coal to the seaports. Today there are very attractive walks along the towpath. There is good local shopping and the railway station at Walkden is about a mile away. Manchester City is within easy driving distance and Old Trafford is nearby.
