Retirement Properties Spotlight in Wallsend

Wallsend as the name partly suggests is at the eastern end of Hadrians wall. The town became an important shipbuilding and engineering centre and the Willington viaduct dates from the mid 19th century. Coal mining eventually declined and Wallsend shipyard closed in the 21st century.
