Vauxhall is south of the river in London and within walking distance of Waterloo. It was once in Surrey and became a mixed residential and industrial area in the late 19th and early 20th century. Today there has been significant residential development along the river transforming the environment. The Vauxhall Ironworks factory moved to Bedfordshire in the early 20th century.
