St Marychuch is thought to have been one of the earliest Saxon settlements in the county and is mentioned in Domesday and named after its church. It has an attractive high street with a number of shops and cafes and there are various interesting places to visit including Babbacombe Cliff Railway and the model village at Babbacombe. Torquay is a little over two miles away.
