Swansea : Swansea is situated at the mouth of the River Tawe overlooking Swansea Bay in the Bristol Channel and was originally a small fishing village with a harbour. The town developed in the Middle Ages around its castle and later grew as a coal port and metal working centre due to the local deposits of copper ore.
